What is a Sciton laser?
Sciton is the laser and light platform we use at Petro Facial Plastic Surgery and MedSpa. It powers BBL Hero (BroadBand Light), Moxi non-ablative resurfacing and the Halo hybrid fractional laser — three different tools on one system, so we can treat color, texture and depth without switching practices.
What is BBL Hero and how is it different from BroadBand Light?
BBL Hero is Sciton's fastest BroadBand Light device. BroadBand Light (BBL) is the intense pulsed light technology itself; Hero is the newer, faster, cooler handpiece that lets us cover the face, neck, chest, arms or hands quickly. BBL targets brown spots, redness, sun damage and freckling. Victoria, our master esthetician, has been performing BBL for ten years.
What does the Moxi laser do?
Moxi is Sciton's gentle non-ablative fractional 1927 nm laser. It refreshes tone and texture, softens fine lines and early sun damage, and works on all skin types with minimal downtime — usually a couple of sandpapery days. It pairs beautifully with BBL: BBL handles color, Moxi handles quality.
What is the Halo laser?
Halo is Sciton's hybrid fractional laser — it delivers ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in the same pass, so it goes deeper than Moxi for pigment, texture, pores and crepey skin. Halo is a Dr. Petro treatment; she runs the settings herself.
BBL vs Moxi vs Halo — which one do I need?
